Daily diary, Thursday, April 2, 2020. Keeping up because I’m asking my students to. Ain’t easy, but important to document this time. 📓📓📓

Pandemic looks. I don’t have to shave my head because my partner is my barber during normal times, but I’m feeling some kind of ancestral urge, so I’m leaning in.

This sums up a few things.

Shout out to all of the people who have been drawing in these Rona times—drawing has been nearly impossible, almost painful, for me (and many of my students). Many folks who are drawing are not doing it because it’s “therapeutic.” It’s an act of witnessing and solidarity. Just finished these coloring pages for the @newhavenpridecenter which has been about all I can do. Shout out to @jkartez @marianafuriosa @thenearsightedmonkey who are giving me life right now.
